The Intercultural Skills Development Program, developed by Impact Route Rwanda, equips young professionals with practical skills to navigate multicultural workplaces. Through workshops, expert-led sessions, and a guided study of The Culture Map by Erin Meyer, the program will train 500 participants over five months. It will strengthen Rwanda’s talent pool, reduce youth unemployment, and support Rwanda’s Vision 2050 goals of becoming a hub for innovation, investment, and global engagement.

WORKSHOPS AND SESSIONS

  • Cultural Intelligence Workshop:  This is a Full-day in-person training that equips participants with intercultural knowledge and skills to recognize their own cultural biases, assumptions, understand their cultural values and adjust their behaviors and approaches to effectively navigate different cultural situations and interact successfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Israel, German, Korean and British Business Culture Sessions: These 4 online sessions of two hours each provided by industry experts aim at  expanding participants' knowledge about cultural differences and how the differences affect business and professional relationships.

  • The Culture Map Book Study: This is a two-week guided reading and reflection, the Erin Meyer’s Culture Map book. This book study aims at helping participants understand the  Erin Meyer framework of 8 scales and contextualize cultural differences using the various case studies in the book.
